Madison County Commissioners met last night in Danielsville. Chairman Anthony Dove announced that 11 candidates are being considered to fill the E-M-S director's post. And a bright idea to cut energy costs: light fixtures inside the Madison County government complex now contain two brighter fluorescent bulbs, as opposed to four standard fluorescents. Using fewer bulbs is expected to reduce the utility bill, good news after the budget report indicated a drop in Madison County's SPLOST income from February of last year to February of this year.
